On a roll

Yeah!  I finally found some motivation yesterday.  I've been making tutus, but taking pictures of them is a different story.  With the camera I currently have I have to take about 100 pictures in order to get 5 good ones.  And with winter coming I only have about 2 hours of usable light that I can get good photos...and if I'm not in my room and ready with my camera during those hours, it's just not going to happen.

Good news?  I am getting a new camera! Yeah!!!!  I have been waiting trying to get enough to buy a new camera and now I will be getting one in November. :)

So here are some of the tutus I was able to get posted in between naps and meals and "Mom! He's looking at me again!!"  This one is my favorite I've done so far, I'm not sure why, but the red just seems to flow better than the other colors...maybe it's just me but I like it.

Here's a close up of the removable flower

I love this one because the flower on this is removable and on a clip.  So you can wear it on your tutu as an accent, or your can wear it in your hair.  The tutu itself is also a "grow with me" kind of a tutu.  The younger girls can wear it as a dress. (Waist band goes under their arms instead of at their waist), then as they get a little older, it turns into a long flowing skirt.  It is for sure my favorite out of all of them I posted yesterday.  It's in a close race for one that I plan on doing today if the sun cooperates so I can get good lighting.

Here's the others I posted yesterday.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/112502286/green-two-tonepremium-crochet-top-tutu

I love the premium tutus.  I only had the white one I posted a while ago, so I was glad to finally get this one up.  As soon as I have some extra cash I am going to get some red tops and red tulle and do a lovely Christmas Premium Tutu Dress.  I hope it ends up looking as cute in real life as it looks in my head. :)  All of my premium tutu dresses have 4 full layers of tulle and extra tulle added in between the layers to add a little more fullness.  You should see the way these look on little girls that are just learning to walk...it is *so* cute.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/112513042/white-tutu-skirt-with-red-glitter
I discovered something when I was working on this tutu skirt...I hate working with glitter tulle.  I never thought that *I* would say that.  I love everything glitter (you could even ask my Mom, ever since I was little, I automatically fell in love with anything that shines).  But this is REALLY hard to work with.  I love the final product, but I won't be doing many of these unless I find an easier way to do them.  I was afraid I would tear the crochet waist band every time I pulled a strand through.  But you've got to admit it's pretty cute.

Well, that's how I spent my day yesterday.  I'm hoping I can be productive today as well.  Making tutus until about 1pm (when the sun is at the best spot for taking photos), and then taking pictures for the next few hours.  Hopefully the sun is as cooperative today as it was yesterday, there's no school today so I won't have to miss out on an hour of good sunlight.

Wish me luck. :)

I'm back

I guess I never official announced that I am back.  I have been very much slacking on my blog.  I've been trying to get my craft room back in order.  I will finally get it clean and then....I start crafting.  I can destroy that room in 2 seconds flat when I'm crafting.  I ran across the saying the other day "A creative mind is rarely organized."  That is so me.  I am planning on doing a piece of string art (or maybe crayon art...I haven't decided yet) with that on it and hanging it in my craft room.

I will have an auction up on my Facebook page if any of you are interested in checking it out.  You can find it here.  It will open on the 10th of October and will end on the 13th.  I will make sure to add times when I get them figured out.  I am also in the process of designing some gift cards - just in time for the holidays - that I will have available in my Etsy Shop and on Facebook as well.

I have been able to make a few tutus, I will be taking pictures and posting photos soon.  I was also thinking of doing a "blog only sale" or coupon code so that you all can get in on the fun even if you don't have a Facebook account or an Etsy account.

*********************************************************************************
How does this work?

You will receive these items at a discounted price (as stated in the Details above). Because these items will be coming directly from my supplier you will have a longer wait time before you receive your items (that's why you get the discount). Wait time is usually around 4-6 weeks after the buy has closed, but shipping time varies depending on the time of year, the items and the supplier.

When you are finished shopping  message me your order and let me know you would like me to invoice you via Pay Pal.  At this point your transaction is "official".  There's a limited number of spaces I can allow per pre-order, so make sure that you get your order to me ASAP in order to secure your spot.

*********************************************************************************
What will my invoice include?

You will receive 2 separate invoices.

The first invoice (sent at the time you request to be invoiced) will include:
$2 Buy-in fee (this pays for the ink/paper/etc. I use printing invoices, shipping labels and the time for sorting all the items).
Cost of your items
*Most Pre-Orders will charge you shipping to the Hostess and then shipping to you, your invoice with these pre-orders WILL NOT have shipping charges for the item coming to me because, quite frankly, I don't think it's fair for you to have to pay shipping twice*

Your second invoice (sent after items arrive to me and before they are shipped to you) will include
Shipping cost to you
10% customs fee (if applicable)
*********************************************************************************
Is there anything else I need to know?

Currently these pre-orders are available only to those in the US.

There is a limited amount of participants that I can accept in each Pre-order. If there is enough interest in a particular pre-order, I will include a second group.

Your spot in the pre-order is not considered "official" until you have requested that I invoice your order. If your invoice is not paid within 24 hours (excluding Sundays) your order may be canceled.

If you fail to pay your second invoice, you will not receive your items and you will not receive a refund for your original purchase price.

If there are items that you definitely want, but you are still deciding on others, you may message me on Facebook or contact me and ask me to "save" certain items (Please use "PRE-ORDER SAVED ITEMS" as your subject line). Your spot in the pre-order on these items will be temporarily saved. Please remember that there may be people waiting to take your place if you change your mind, so be respectful of other's time.

Some pre-orders will be canceled if there's not enough interest to meet minimums. Those that have already paid for their items will be given a refund.
*********************************************************************************
Both of these Pre-Oders will be placed mid to end of August.  You may start ordering now.  Please note that PAY PAL IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE PRE-ORDERS. (Sign up here for free).

New line from my shop

I have a new line of items in my shop.  Dresses!  Not the tutu dresses that you've already seen...just dresses. I'm excited about these.  I am trying my dresses on a couple little girls over the next few days to get an idea of EXACTLY what sizes each dress will fit.  Here's the newest.  (I also have a dark purple dress, but I can't get a picture of it because, for some reason my camera always makes that shade of purple look blue...it's a beautiful shade of blue...but it's a purple dress.  Oh well, I'll figure it out at some point).

You can find it here https://www.etsy.com/listing/104903564/blue-dress-with-tulle-sleeves if you are interested in purchasing this dress.  I also make custom tutus.

Can't believe I forgot!!!

I honestly can't believe that I forgot to mention to you guys that I am having a sale on my FB page.  I am having a one day sale every day this week (I know that doesn't sound like it makes much sense).  Until the 6th I am having a sale on Petti Rompers and Glitter Rompers today.

Petti Rompers Regularly $15...today only they are
$12 each.

Glitter Petti Rompers Regularly $17...today only they are
$14 each.
Since I forgot to tell you until the last minute, I think I will make it up to you by putting a code on here (only for you guys) so that you can get the items of your choice for less.  I am also having a new "like"/referral contest on my Facebook Page PlayfullyPerfect.  I have an album for items that you can win.  You get one entry for "liking" my page (if you haven't already), and one entry per person that you refer to my page (make sure they mention that you sent them or you won't get your entry for that referral).

Happy Independence Day!!!

First of all I wanted to wish you all a Happy Independence Day, and to thank all the Service Men and Women who work tirelessly to keep us free.  "Thank you" just doesn't say it well enough.

Second of all, I wanted to show off that cute altered tutu I showed you before.

Doesn't she just make that tutu look ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE?  I love seeing my tutus on such cute little babies.  And this is why I love what I do. :)

Happy 4th of July,

Alterations

I'll admit, I'm a little more than excited about this one.  I love the look of crochet top dresses with sleeves.  The only problem was that if you put a newborn in one of those (even the smallest one I had), she'd be "swimming" in it.  It would be so big that you can't pick the baby up without the dress falling off.

I had a request for a newborn crochet top dress.  You remember the 4th of July Dresses I posted about?  She liked the Silver top dress...but she wanted it for her newborn, and she wanted sleeves.  I wasn't sure how I could do that.  The smallest crochet top that I have fits infants, but not newborns (6 months is about the smallest that can fit in them), and this baby was smaller than the average newborn.  So I figured, I'd try to alter that one that I had, what's the worst that could happen?  It wouldn't work and I would have to e-mail her and tell her I can't do it...but...IT DID WORK!  And not only was I able to make the dress to a newborn size and add sleeves, but I was able to find a new technique to attach the sleeves that's quicker for me, and has a stronger hold as well.  I am so glad she asked me to try and alter a 4th of July dress because that one is on a strict time limit, so I had to figure it out NOW.

So now I guess I can add some "newborn" dresses onto my Etsy page. YEAH!!!

Here's the new dress.  And I just realized that I didn't add a photo of the Silver top 4th of July dress in the 4th of July dresses post.  *Ooops*  So the one on the left was the "before" that fit a size 6 month to {roughly} 3T/4T...after you get past the 3T/4T stage, you can fold the top down and wear it as a skirt up to 7 years old (give or take, depending on the size of the girl wearing it).  The one on the right is the "after" and can also be worn as a skirt after the baby has out grown it.  Remove the sleeves (ie. cut them off),  fold the top down and you have a skirt.

*Sleeves can be added to any crochet top tutu dress for an extra fee*

4th Of July tutus

Thought this might be a great way to get feedback that I don't otherwise get.  I want to make sure that the things I am creating are the things that people want to see.  I create tutus....mostly.  I love to make tutus, it is my "time away", a time that I can enjoy doing something just because I like doing it.  But my craft room quickly was overrun by tutus, so I started selling the tutus.  I mostly sell them on Etsy at Playfully Perfect but I also do a little on Facebook as well (you can find my page under "Playfully Perfect").

Here's a 4th of July glimmer tutu skirt I have for sale.  It's one of my favorites, but I've always loved things that sparkle.

Red, White and Blue Glimmer tutu
Close up of the glimmer tutu

And my 4th of July tutu dress with sleeves

Love this one!  I can add sleeves to any of my tutu dresses if you request it.
This one is only ONE large layer and ONE small layer (Usually I will have 2 large layers and one small layer)

I will continue posting photos of tutus and other items that I have available.  Thanks for looking.  And please, if you have a comment or something that you think I could make better, please don't hesitate to let me know.
