On a roll

Yeah!  I finally found some motivation yesterday.  I've been making tutus, but taking pictures of them is a different story.  With the camera I currently have I have to take about 100 pictures in order to get 5 good ones.  And with winter coming I only have about 2 hours of usable light that I can get good photos...and if I'm not in my room and ready with my camera during those hours, it's just not going to happen.

Good news?  I am getting a new camera! Yeah!!!!  I have been waiting trying to get enough to buy a new camera and now I will be getting one in November. :)

So here are some of the tutus I was able to get posted in between naps and meals and "Mom! He's looking at me again!!"  This one is my favorite I've done so far, I'm not sure why, but the red just seems to flow better than the other colors...maybe it's just me but I like it.

Here's a close up of the removable flower

I love this one because the flower on this is removable and on a clip.  So you can wear it on your tutu as an accent, or your can wear it in your hair.  The tutu itself is also a "grow with me" kind of a tutu.  The younger girls can wear it as a dress. (Waist band goes under their arms instead of at their waist), then as they get a little older, it turns into a long flowing skirt.  It is for sure my favorite out of all of them I posted yesterday.  It's in a close race for one that I plan on doing today if the sun cooperates so I can get good lighting.

Here's the others I posted yesterday.

I love the premium tutus.  I only had the white one I posted a while ago, so I was glad to finally get this one up.  As soon as I have some extra cash I am going to get some red tops and red tulle and do a lovely Christmas Premium Tutu Dress.  I hope it ends up looking as cute in real life as it looks in my head. :)  All of my premium tutu dresses have 4 full layers of tulle and extra tulle added in between the layers to add a little more fullness.  You should see the way these look on little girls that are just learning to walk...it is *so* cute.

I discovered something when I was working on this tutu skirt...I hate working with glitter tulle.  I never thought that *I* would say that.  I love everything glitter (you could even ask my Mom, ever since I was little, I automatically fell in love with anything that shines).  But this is REALLY hard to work with.  I love the final product, but I won't be doing many of these unless I find an easier way to do them.  I was afraid I would tear the crochet waist band every time I pulled a strand through.  But you've got to admit it's pretty cute.

Well, that's how I spent my day yesterday.  I'm hoping I can be productive today as well.  Making tutus until about 1pm (when the sun is at the best spot for taking photos), and then taking pictures for the next few hours.  Hopefully the sun is as cooperative today as it was yesterday, there's no school today so I won't have to miss out on an hour of good sunlight.

Wish me luck. :)
